My name is Josh, and I am the founder and head coach of Fortis Coaching Method.
I have been obsessed with sports, fitness and strength from a young age. As a teenager I played football and did a lot of long distance running but as I got in to my 20's I realised to get better, I needed to get stronger and build some muscle mass. I have never been the biggest guy (I'm 5ft 8) and was that 'skinny' one which made starting the gym really intimidating. I would watch all sorts of lifting videos online but never made any progress in the gym to the level I wanted, until I decided to get a coach. This is where I realised where I was going wrong and after getting the help from someone in the field, I started seeing results quickly.
15 years on from that young guy just starting at the gym, I am now a Personal Trainer, Online Coach and successful competitive Powerlifter. I have competed at a national level and at the world championships. I am British Open Champion for 2023 in the A/BPU and finished 2nd at the AWPC World Championships in 2022.
This is why I wanted to create my online coaching business - Fortis Coaching Method - to help people who are just starting their fitness journey or want to really up their game in the gym and achieve what they never thought was possible.

Whether you are new to training or have been training for a while, Fortis Coaching Method online coaching programmes are written by a professional and experienced coach who listens to your needs and tailors your programme around your lifestyle and training history. Communication is key to delivering you the best service possible.
With daily feedback I can monitor all aspects of your training such as fatigue, lifestyle changes, family and work commitments and make adjustments so you are getting the most out of your exercise sessions. I am also there for any questions you may have and provide coaching tips through video feedback.

Are you new to Powerlifting or want to up your current training plan? Fortis Coaching Method provides Powerlifting programs that will build that muscle, help with weak points and most importantly make you stronger. As an experienced Powerlifting Coach, I will also handle you on your meet day so you feel supported and have fun.
